Privacy policy

How CEDRO handles the data of people who contact us and of the companies we write to.

Controller

PARALELO ARBÓREO – UNIPESSOAL LDA (CEDRO), NIPC 519644298, Rua Luís de Freitas Branco, 42 D, 1600-491 Lisboa, Portugal. Privacy contact: info@cedro.pt.

What data we process and why

1. Requests made on this site

Name, email, phone, municipality, model of interest and your message. We use them to answer your request and prepare a proposal (pre-contractual steps, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). To protect the form against abuse we keep a hashed value of the IP address, not the address itself.

2. Business outreach to companies

We write to companies (legal persons) whose business makes our offer relevant: tourist accommodation, builders and developers, architecture firms and real-estate agencies. We use the company name, the published business email, the municipality and data from the activity register (for example the capacity of a tourist establishment). Sources are public registers (Turismo de Portugal RNET and RNAL) and the company’s own website. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), under Law 41/2004 for legal persons. We do not send unsolicited marketing email to private individuals. Before each mailing we check the opt-out list of the Direção-Geral do Consumidor.

To stop receiving our emails, just reply "no" or write to info@cedro.pt. The address goes onto our suppression list straight away.

3. Clients and partners

Data needed for proposals, contracts, invoicing and project follow-up (performance of contract and legal obligations, Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).

Who has access

The CEDRO team and providers that support us, acting as processors: website and CRM hosting (amen.pt, Portugal), email and documents (Google Workspace) and the business email sending platform. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. We do not sell data.

How long

  • Requests that go nowhere: up to 24 months after the last contact.
  • Business contacts that never reply: up to 24 months after the last email, then deleted.
  • Suppression list: we keep only the address, for as long as needed to never write again.
  • Clients: for the legal retention period of tax and contract records.

Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object at any time to processing for marketing, by writing to info@cedro.pt. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD, www.cnpd.pt).
